What a great year it has been again (and how fast it went by) for earning and redeeming miles! Not only did I requalify for Executive Platinum status on American Airlines back in May, I also made Premier 1K on United Airlines as well but in November this year.  I status matched to Turkish Airlines Elite (Star Gold) and requalified as well within a few months.

I also got British Airways Silver (via match from British Midland International Silver from acquisition) good through Feb 2014, Marriott Rewards Platinum (Elite Challenge), Hyatt Diamond (from elite challenge and requalifying via stays for next year) and Starwood Preferred Guest Gold (from American Express Platinum Card).

I have domestic lounge access when flying American Airlines next year from my American Express Credit Card and British Airways Silver Card.  I also get free access to Priority Pass lounges from my American Express Credit Card as well (especially for foreign airport lounges).

I also have domestic lounge access when flying United Airlines next few years from Turkish Airlines Elite Card.

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

It is officially snowing in Texas!

Journey to Top Elite Status on American and United Airlines FINAL UPDATE 2013

I bought ticket on AA using a small residual voucher from a flight change earlier this year for the positioning flight from DFW to LAX. Plus, I got to fly non stop and even got a little bit of bonus Elite and Redeemable miles from the AATHX promo as well.

Well, 2012 has come and gone and it's only the end of November! With the flights from the MegaDO international portion posted, I am officially an United Premier 1K again for 2013!  Glad I done for the year as airfares are high at the end of the year plus bad weather all abound (ie. Hurricanes/Megastorm Sandy and Northeasterns) make it hard to requalify for some people.

Here's a summary of what I accomplished this year on United and American Airlines.

Notes
I received an extra 25% bonus redeemable miles (1298 miles to be exact) for crediting Continental operated flights to my Continental OnePass account for travel before March 3, 2012 from my Chase Presidential Platinum Credit Card.

^ Due to an error system error/glitch in Continental/United SHAREs system, I got some bonus PQMs/PQSs/RDMs for upgraded flights incorrectly coded as paid Domestic First Class earlier this year for Premier Qualifying Miles, Premier Qualifying Segments, and Redeemable Miles).

* I did credit over 25,000 Status Miles to Turkish Airlines this year (which could be credited to United to reach Premier 1K level).

Plus, I have some Flexible PQMs left over from my Chase Continental Presidential Platinum Credit Card as well
(with no expiration… for now)

I also received a bonus of 5,000 miles from customer care for compensation on a service issue this summer.
American offered a Double Elite Qualifying Miles / Double Elite Qualifying Points / Double Redeemable Miles for those members with an address in Texas, California and Illinois from October 27, 2011 with the offer extended 2 times all the way to June 30, 2012.  The flights were good for nonstop flights on these routes: DFW-LAX/SFO or ORD-LAX/SFO and also later ORD-SNA.

There was a systemwide Double Elite Qualifying Miles good for December 13, 2011 through January 31, 2012 as well for all flights operated by AA.

American offered a Double Elite Qualifying Miles / Double Elite Qualifying Segments /  Double Redeemable Miles promotion on November 16th good through the end of the year to make up for service failures and sticking with them through their bankruptcy restructuring.
